ok first off
make a giude line brush to help
you see where you want your
cuts to line up
in this case the giude brush is
floor to the room
next make a cylender brush
and possition it where you want
to put it
next... this is optional...
"lean"the brush to an angle facing
away from
the center of the room
not by "vertexing"as vertexing
can cause errors all its own...
as a matter of fact i dont ever
use vertexing...
next shear the walls flush {clip
the wals}
now add more and repeat till the
desiered effect is acomplished
remember to alighne you brushes
so that
the minimum # of faces are exposed
to the visable area of the room
you can diliberatly increase the
amount of brushes seem
but the r_speeds will go up and
you risk
creating areas the player can get
stuck in....
the grid size is set to 64 units{wich
is the default on most edditores
this is the size i use moast as
1 square on this grid is more or less
the area a player will take up
in the game
you can change this to get just
the right alighnment to
your brushes...
but i recomend setting it back
to 64 when you are done...
remember to overlap your brushes
to enshure no leaks
and make shure there are no micro
cracks in bettween the brushes...
a 1 unit crack {the smalest q2
unit} can cause a leak
last use a sky brush in back of
the flush walls to totaly seel them
and finish the look of an outside
area...
