Vote! 40 Doors- A Map for Team Fortress 2.6 By Sgt.Thundercok Vote40.zip Version 1 Other maps- The Well, The Rock, Spaz-Ball, Vote1 Used- Worldcraft, EntEd, Paint shop Pro, TextPad, MipDip, Remipdlx Level 4 vis(full vis) jek19@idt.net -------------------------------------------------- NOTES FOR VOTE40 -I have allowed 4 teams, and all classes for vote40, but have included different ent files for different configurations. -Server Ops, please read the steps.txt for setting up different configurations. -Do not use older versions of EntEd. It may strip the model lines out of the trigger_changelevel's. -If you are having trouble getting vote to start maps, it is either the model lines are gone from trigger_changelevels, or you have samelevel 2 set. -Speedenator is working on a util that will allow easy updating of the .ent file. -------------------------------------------------- FIRST- Put vote40.bsp in your fortress\maps folder. This is a voting map that runs between levels. Players shoot the doors of the map they want to play. Eventually, a door will open. Run in and that map will start. NOTE 1- Server Ops, this will not be able to access any map.cfg files, so keep that in mind when selecting maps. The next release of 2.6 should have code that will run a "well6.cfg" when "well6" runs(etc.). --------------------------------------------------- HOW TO RUN---------------- All you need in your qwmcycle folder is map1.cfg with this line; map vote40 And map2.cfg, with this line; serverinfo n 0 Also, make sure you have this line at the end of your server.cfg; map vote40 You need to have deathmatch3 set so players can change class. A lot of ops had problems with vote1 because they had set samelevel 2. Do not set samelevel 2. You can add other configs so every so often it will force a map to run, like a new map. Any combination would work. HOW TO EDIT--------------- Please read STEPS.TXT See MAPS.TXT for map list. Feel free to change at will. You can change the doors health higher or lower depending on how large a server you run, and whether or not you want it to take longer or take less time to open a door. Jim Kaufman Sgt.Thundercok
