I did it in 1997 with WC 1.1a. Later, in 25 of february of 2000 (i know this date by checking the last modified date of the files) i found out what leaks are and how they change the maps, so i filled some of them, moved the entire map (i don't remember why) so the textures became misaligned, and deleted all the monsters for better searching for leaks (at that time i didn't know of ''noclip'' or ''notarget''). I left that uncompleted till now. Some months ago found the map again, filled the leaks, fixed some bugs, aligned the textures that were aligned before 2000 (the rest are still misaligned) and added the monsters back, as i still remember where they were. I added some extra monsters for hard difficulty too, that weren't before. Apart from that, the map is the same as it were in 1997, i even used the same Worldcraft 1.1a i used back there to mend it nowadays. This zip omes with the version from 2000 for comparison. I consider the map can provide some decent fun moments, even if it is easy as a walk in the park, even on nightmare, but that is up for each of you to decide. I remember that back in those days i thought it was hard, but i thought too that demons were hard to kill back at the time, so it isn't too valid of an argument. The map is an small idbase map where you can see here and there resemblances of e2m1, e3m1 and e4m1. And now being able to ompare it to others, i can say that it isn't doing as bad as i expected. ------------------------------------------------------------------- * Installation - Put all the files in /id1/maps - Add the following to the command line to run your Quake engine or create a shorcut to it with this part added (omit the ''): ''+map alb1v1a -skill x'' (where x is 1, 2 or 3) - Enjoy the map. ------------------------------------------------------------------- * Thanks - ID software for Quake - Ben Morris for Worldcraft ------------------------------------------------------------------- * Copyright / Permissions * Commercial distribution of this material, in whole or in part, requires prior agreement with the author.
