==================================================================== title : Cope's first by Scope ==================================================================== filename : Cope.bsp (.map on request) version : 1.01; 10-2-96 author : Ed Cope contact : e-mail: scope@execpc.com homepage : http://www.execpc.com/~scope/ description : small single player only level additional credits to : -id- Software The QuakeLab (http://206.12.10.240:80/stevefu/QuakeLab/) beta testers : A few QuakeBot clan members ==================================================================== * play information * single player : Yep cooperative : Wouldn't be a challenge deathmatch : Nope demos replaced : None new graphics : No new sounds : No new monsters/weapons : No new QuakeC : No * construction * base : new level from scratch editor(s) used : Worldcraft 0.92(beta) build time : About 10 hours to pick an editor and figure it out; 15 hour to make the level; 5 hours to fix texture bugs and come up with a final version. compile time : about 1 minute each for QBSP and light; about 3-4 minutes for VIS. known Bugs : -One minor bug - Quake indentifies 39 monsters when there are only 34; I can't for the life of me figure where the other five would be. -Vis seems to have taken care of all the visplane problems I was having. ==================================================================== Other information: This is my first level. Given that, I think it's ok; some nice architecture; good monster placement; and you must conserve your ammo. I got to the point where I wanted to wrap things up and work on my next level. I have no plans on making future changes or additions to this level. Note that some of the texture problems (on the buttons)were due to my inability to get WorldCraft to group brushes into a single entity. I've since figured out my problem but am too lazy to change it. After all, this is my first level; there have to be a few mistakes. There really is no story that goes along with this level. It is small to medium sized. I just made things up as I went along. My next level will have a little more thought put into it. ==================================================================== * legal stuff * You may distribute this file, just as long as you include this txt-file and give me credit.
