It's... just not big enough. Difficulty Settings : Yes, Hard, is actually hard, and easy is a joke... well, to me anyway. =) Music Track : Um... Why would I? Well, Track 4 on the Q2 cd is good for this one... GLQuake Supported : Uh... I guess you could, but there's nothing new in it, it's still recommended tho... * Construction * Base : Scratch Editor(s) : QuArK Map Editor, WQBSP, TXQBSP, RVIS, RVIS+, TyrLite, Arghlite. Known Bugs : Well, only one i know is that Hard mode is really really hard... Only one of my testers beat it. Build Time : Uh... Not that long... I had to finish it before April 30... Let's just say 1/2 month. Texture Wad : Quake 2, some Zerstorers... Compile machine : PI 233 MHz 32 Mb RAM (suxors or whatxors?) Compile tools: : WQBSP , Tyrlite, RVIS+ , RVIS, TXQBSP. QBSP : heh heh, Only about 3 seconds... RVIS+ (level 4) : 'Bout 1 second. (boy, I wish it was this fast on all maps... =) Tyrlite (extra) : Almost 15 seconds. Brushes : 94 something... Entities : Some ======================================================================= * Information * Ok, well, here it is, my entry to the 100 Brush Compo... and, Whooie, is it a crap 'o' rama, or what? Anyway, as you no doubt guessed, the 100 Brush compo is a competition to see who can make a real good map in 100 brushes or less... The .map file is included as per the orders of the compo, as is the Wad file. (that was included for fun) Note: This map will be very difficult to beat, unless you use your brain. eg: Instead of running into a room with 4 shamblers in it, try to lure them into small corridors where they get cramped, and then try to bring em down... Also, most of the time, when you are given a gun, you are expected to use it in the area it was given it. So if you get the grenade launcher, expect to see zombies, if you get the lightning bolt... etc... Also, keep in mind, this was all made with 94 brushes, so don't expect super curvy surfaces or anything... Well, that's it... I just love filling up this white space! =) ======================================================================= * Installation * Ok, basically, just copy the .bsp into your /quake/id1/maps dir... and then run quake, select the skill (skill 0, 1, 2) and then type in the console "map n3_100b" That's it... and good luck =) ======================================================================= * Copyright / Permissions * Just don't fuck with the map... j/k =D That's all.
