@Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @MDESIRE IFF-CONVERTER V1.0 @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Cj @MThis program was written by @MTRONIX of DESIRE in 1991-1992 @Ca @MThis program may not be sold without my permission, but you're allowed to @Mspread it freely, PD-Companies should contact me first before they put it on their disks!!!! @MIf you have any suggestions, bug-reports or if you would like to make @Mcontributions, then write to the following address: @M@CiTRONIX of DESIRE @MSnelliusstraat 15 @M4904 KK Oosterhout @MHolland @Ca @MYou can also write if you want to get the latest version. @MBut then you have to include a disk and enough money so that I can @Mreturn it to you as soon as possible. @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @MDESIRE IFF-CONVERTER V1.0 @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca As all other IFF-converters didn't include all the options I would like to have in an IFF-converter, I decided to write my own IFF-converter. The advantage is that I can update it at any time I like. This converter has all the features that other converters have and more!!! As far as I know this is the first converter that includes a good palette with the most important edit options. Now you can load a raw picture and edit the colors in the converter itself! I know this version isn't bug-free yet, but an optimized version will follow soon. Press the right arrow-key to go to the next page -> @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @MDESIRE IFF-CONVERTER V1.0 @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @M@CjLOADING A PICTURE@Ca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the options menu there are 3 load-options. The IFF-option has no effect. If you want to load an IFF-picture the program will recognise it itself. If the file you want to load isn't IFF-format the program will load it in NORMAl or BLITTER format. Hires, HAM or interlace pictures will be loaded correctly. @M@CjSAVING A PICTURE@Ca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just choose the right save-option and press the save-gadget in the DISK-menu. The COLOR HEAD/TAIL option only works with the RAW-NORMAL or RAW-BLITTER format. This option is also important for the load-options. Always check the number of planes. If they are incorrect the screen will be a mess. Note that if you save a picture with 6 planes in HAM- or EHB-format, the number of colors will only be 32 (DPAINT-III always saves 64!!) <--> @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @MDESIRE IFF-CONVERTER V1.0 @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @M@CjCHANGING THE SCREEN-TYPE@Ca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just press the SCREEN-SIZE gadget and type the screen width/height or press the +/- gadget to alter the number of planes. Mind that the interlace used in the program is not real interlace!!! @M@CjCHANGING SCREEN COLORS@Ca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This works almost the same as in DPAINT, except when you press the DEF(AULT) gadget, you will get the colors you loaded with the last picture. The UND(O) gadget will undo the last copy/spread/exchange command. Then there are the COPY, SPR(EAD) and the EX(CHAN)G(E) commands which speak for themselves. <--> @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @MDESIRE IFF-CONVERTER V1.0 @Cb--------------------------------------------------------------------------------@Ca @M@CjFRAMING A PICTURE@Ca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can frame a picture in two ways: - you can select one corner, keep the mouse button pressed and release it in the opposite corner. - you can select one corner, release the mouse button and select the opposite corner. This has the advantage that you can always alter the corner you selected last. Press the right mouse button to kill the frame. @M@CjKEY-COMMANDS@Ca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - When you press the HELP-key the frame-lines will be scrolling, so that it will sometimes be easier to frame. Press it another time and the lines will be normal again. - Arrow-keys will scroll the picture if it is bigger than the screen. off headtail err 204: DIRECTORY NOT FOUND err 213: DISK NOT VALIDATED err 214: DISK WRITE PROTECTED err 218: DEVICE NOT MOUNTED err 221: DISK FULL err 225: NOT A DOS DISK err 226: NO DISK IN DRIVE err 205: OBJECT NOT FOUND NOT ENOUGH MEMORY ERROR IN SIZE OR DEPTH
