Chicago, Illinois - March 2025 MrGreat's Utilities Collection Rip ================================== As many Amiga owners collected games and enjoyed playing them, somehow I also was interested in all the many applications, and tools being developed for the Commodore Amiga. I guess it was intriguing how powerful and useful the solutions were, compared to the Commodore 64. It really showed that the Amiga was a full blown computing machine with a huge population of people that were actively making not just games. Many of the utilities where in the beginning centered around files and floppy disk tools, but quickly expanded to file compression, music, virus, backup and powerful editors. I started early on around 1988 to gather them on my floppies, and saw great ideas to make them bootable and add a simple and easy to use menu. As I would find new versions or edits, I would update the floppy and the date on them. I shared the utility disks with my local friends in Denmark, and then later on with those in the United States. Ultimately things changed in 1993 when I got my first full time programming job (point of sales systems in C), and my world changes more over to the PC from then on. Please see the "MrGreat Utility Disk Complete Listing.txt" file for a quick dump of the contents of each menu on the floppies. Makes it easy to search as an index. Hope this is useful, or takes you back to a more simple time. :-) Cheers! _____ ________ __ / \ _______ / _____/ _______ ____ _____ _/ |_ / \ / \ \_ __ \/ \ ___ \_ __ \_/ __ \ \__ \ \ __\ / Y \ | | \/\ \_\ \ | | \/\ ___/ / __ \_ | | \____|__ / |__| \______ / |__| \___ >(____ / |__| \/ \/ \/ MrG \/
