Comments: ooooooh boy. While testing this map, I caught the creepiest jumpscare in my entire experience in Doom. For some reason, a voodoo doll appeared in one of the corridors, whom I mistook for an enemy in the dark and killed myself as a result. I even started to wonder if my map was haunted, lmao.

Of course, I later figured out what was going on, but since what happened happened at 3 am, I was quite scared then xdd

Map Name: Baptized in Hoarfrost
Author: MundyC
Music: "On The Ship" from The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
Comments: This level is set in a monastery that's partially built into the mountainside - I like to imagine that Sanahaid was trained there in his youth. Combat is rather heavily focused on Kurai and the red mana spells, with some Yakutis and Maltraiter stuff near the end. It's rather fast-paced despite the (partial) absence of powerful spells.

The layout was greatly influenced by my two castle maps: MAP06 from Austrian Avian Association and MAP06 from Vile Mountaineers, a shelved project of mine.

Music: Last Ninja 2 - Central Park Loader by Matt Gray (I ripped it from SlaughterMAX map03, not sure who sequenced the MIDI)
Comments: Sanahaid explores a hostile ruined temple. Wanted to make something that showcased all the weapons, but I ended up leaving out the Volta.

Map Name: Isotoxal
Author: Plerb
Music: "Beneath a Small Star" by me
Comments:
This map features a motif of 4-point stars, and I went to wikipedia to try and figure out what those are called, and saw the word "isotoxal" and thought that sounded cool.

Overall this map's difficulty is on par with the later maps in plerbtonia. I had a lot of fun making this, despite being really burnt out when I started!

Comments: Explore an ancient library in hopes of discovering the hidden knowledge within. Combat heavy map with a focus on lock-in fights and space control.

The arsenal is pretty powerful in this but I still wanted to make the map decently challenging, so I tried a couple of things and decided to focus on making encounters that make you juggle between taking care of bigger threats and making sure you have the space to do so comfortably.

Music: Remolinos TYCI by Rencoret
Difficulties: Implemented - HMP has the same monsters as UV but more supplies and HNTR has the same supplies as HMP but fewer monsters.
Coop: Player starts only
Comments: IT'S FUCKING DONE RAAHHH!!! Can't lie was definitely running out of steam as I was finishing up. No wonder since I've been mapping quite intensely every day last week.

Ambition got close of getting the better of me again but I didn't let it. Ended up cutting some ideas I had for it since I didn't have the energy to implement them, though that's far better than having another unfinished wad rotting on my hard drive. In the end, I'm glad to have made something people can actually play.

Map Name: Offway

Music: "Crawl To Your Cocoon" by James "Jimmy" Paddock
Comment: The map relies heavily on silent teleporters, which might cause issues in multiplayer session, but in theory it shouldn't cause anything major to break. Also, the final arena is pretty tough, but I think that most people will manage to get through it.

Map Name: Hotel Remota
Author: Rencoret
Music: 'A.M.M.R.' by Rencoret
Comments: There's probably a lot of nasty slimetrails that I missed, because honestly this map's nodes are being held together by elastic bands. I dare you to look at them in the editor--you're in for a scare.

Map Name: Dancing with Blood & Ink
Author: overflowingmocha
Music: Adversary by Bucket
Comments: Took me a bit to get a proper map done for this, but I got something done! A small and a bit labyrinthine castle that I had a lot of fun doing details on.

Map Name: Avalanching Avengeance
Author: FlyingGoner
Music: "Sweatmore Peak" by Kenji Hikita, from Wario: Master of Disguise (Rendition by UVB96)
Comments: A big map with run-and-gun + setpiece slaughter gameplay. Features all of the weapons except for Volta. It has exactly 6000 enemies on UV, and the playtime is around 25-30 minutes.
