=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : MBF21 or -complevel 21 Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : Wired Tomb Filename : wiredtomb.wad Release date : 01/27/2026 Author : Weary Goose Email Address : [redacted] Description : Two slaughter maps and an end level for Freedoom Phase 2. These are "easy" slaughter maps that were inspired by Xonotic. Xonotic is an arena shooter like Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament. I was able to single segment these levels and I made balancing changes for other skill levels. If you want to play this with "DOOM2.WAD," I made a texture pack of Freedoom Resources that is included with this, which is called freedoomtex.wad. Special Thanks too: Floater Maps in Xonotic and other arena shooters. Level Titles: Level 1: "Wired Tomb" Level 2: "Floater Slaughter" Level 3: "Disconnect" (End map with no exit and monsters) Play Styles and Misc Considerations: Though designed with pistol start, this wad should be good when playing continuously. Mouselook is fine too. This wad is not designed for jumping and crouching, however. This wad was mostly tested in DSDA Doom 0.29.0, however I launched the wad in Woof 15.3.0 and it seemed okay as well. If level 2 or any level has low frames, I recommend using the opengl renderer. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 3 Sounds : No Music : Yes Graphics : No Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : None * Play Information * Game : Freedoom Phase 2 or Doom 2 Map # : 01-03 Single Player : Designed for Pistol Start Cooperative 2-4 Player : Player starts only Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Player starts only Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : Yes * Construction * Base : None Build Time : Probably a month or two.
