Did you ever have to write a manual about a website ?
Did you need to place some 'screenshots' of the webpages in that manual ?
Did you discover that the 'Alt-PrintScreen' key combination only
captured the visible part of the window and didn't scroll through ?
Did you loose quite some time with the scroll-copy-paste-scroll-copy-paste capturing
and the crop-copy-paste-crop-copy-paste glueing of all the 'screenshots' to obtain
your final image?
HTML2JPG will certainly be the right tool for you then and will save you a lot of time.
This software will create one BMP or JPG picture containing the whole
'vertical' content of a HTML page that is (in)visible in a window.
Requirements
Runs only on Windows 95 or higher
You need to have Internet Explorer 5 or higher installed.
How it works
This Borland Delphi software uses the Internet Explorer ActiveX component to implement
the browsing part. (That's why you need to have Internet Explorer version 5 or higher
installed on your machine).
This browser-component is used in the browser-section of the main window to interpret and
visually display the content of a HTML-file.
The page (=HTML-file) can be longer (vertically) than the window that contains it and
vertical scrollbars are added automatically.
Once you click on the 'Create Image'-button, the following happens:
1. The page is being scrolled back to top-position.
2. The total vertical-height of the page is calculated.
3. An empty final image with a height equal to the total vertical-height of the page and
a width equal to the actual browser-window size is created.
4. A screenshot is taken of the actual visible part of the page in the browser-window.
5. That screenshot is being copied in the right location of the final image.
6. The browser window is scrolled down exactly till the old content dissappears completely.
7. A new screenshot is taken of the next part of the page and copied just below the previous
screenshot in the final image.
8. The last two steps are repeated until the end of the page is being reached.
9. The final image of the original HTML-file is saved to a BMP or JPG-file.
