Music Contest #1 Addendum (Richard Sirois)

The essence of LAME...

This is Snowman, and I am very angry at the moment! Yesterday, I released
what I thought were the final results of the Music Contest. I was so happy,
I had made the prizes, finished all the comments, effectively had finished
with the Music Contest #1. By this I don't mean to say that I didn't enjoy the
music contest, but the workload at the end was horrible.
Well, imagine my surprise yesterday when I saw under the comments from one
of the judges "I *KNOW* I heard this one in Star Control II". I remembered
awhile back that there were 2 really big archives released which contained all
the tunes to Star Control II. Well, I had downloaded them months ago, taken
a quick listen, and promptly deleted them. With this comment however, I went
right on Internet and re-downloaded the archives. The next to the last song
in the second archive contained what I was looking for.
You be the judge. First listen to YEHAT.MOD (copyrighted by Riku
Nuottajarvi). Then take a listen to $$TECDRM.MOD (Richard Sirois's entry to
the Music Contest). I converted the file from $$TECDRM.MTM to $$TECDRM.MOD so
that all you out there without a GUS can hear it. Go do it now!, it will make
the rest of this text much more funny.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that you have listened to the 2 songs, let me highlight some rather
interesting text from Richard.

[Snowman: "Notice that the phone # is there just in case anyone else who
entered the Music Contest has anything they would like to tell Richard.
I do not support prank calling, so let't not make the situation any worse
than it already is"]

Comments:This tune is the bes i have in stock for now. But be sure that
in our Demos, there will be some very kool muziks.

Goodbye everybody out there! :]

P.S.: Some of my friends said that they heard this tune elsewhere(Hope not!)
If it is so, join me A.S.A.P. so i can send a new entry. Thank you. :-)

[Snowman: "When I read this little P.S., I thought it was a very unusual
comment, but did not worry about it. I thought that perhaps Richard had
accidentally released his song to a couple of friends and mabey it was spread
prematurely"]

* Here is some text that was actually in the song itself *

"Next time, I will try and do better. Oh! And Hendrix helped me with it!
I almost forgit to give him credit of it."

[Snowman: "After hearing YEHAT.MOD, I am sure that you see the humor in
this."]

"I *KNOW* I heard this one in Star Control II"

[Snowman: "Thank you judge number 4 for pointing this whole thing out in the
first place!"]

First let me say that this little document is bound to ruffle the feathers
of at least one individual. Remember, I'm not the bad guy. I did nothing
wrong, I am only bringing to your attention a wrong doing. So don't you DARE
bitch at me!
Ripping is considered the lamest of the lame in computer music circles.
Under no circumstances is it permissable. Imagine what Riku Nuottajarvi will
think when he sees that his song was entered in a contest, only by someone
else. I assure you, his anger will be far greater than mine. Imagine!! He
even copyrighted the song! Well, no more text is necessary. The point is
clear. You RIP, you LOOSE!

!RICHARD SIROIS, YOU ARE HEREBY BANNED FROM THIS AND ANY FUTURE MUSIC CONTESTS!
