Markvision for Windows 95

Removal Instructions

1. Go to Start, Settings, Printers, and delete each Lexmark driver.  To delete a driver, click on the icon with the right mouse button and choose delete.
2. Close the Printers window.
3. Go to Start, Run and type REGEDIT.  Choose OK. 1
4. Delete the "Lexmark" folder under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software.  You open each folder by clicking on the "+" to the left of the folder.  To delete the Lexmark folder click on Lexmark with the right mouse button and choose delete.
5. Delete the "Lexmark" folder under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, in the same manner as Step 4.
6. Close the Registry Editor.
7. Go to Start, Settings, and choose Taskbar.  Under Taskbar Properties, choose Start Menu Programs and choose Remove.  Click on the Markvision Printer Utility Folder and choose Remove.  Choose Close, and choose OK.
8. Go to Start, Shut Down, and choose to restart in MS-DOS mode.
9. Type CD\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and press ENTER.
10. Type DEL LEX*.* and press ENTER.
11. Type CD\
12. To delete the Markvision directory and its contents, type DELTREE C:\MARKVIS and press ENTER. 2
13. Type EXIT and press ENTER to return to Windows 95.
1 The program that you are opening is the Registry Editor.  Please do not make any changes to this other than what is mentioned in the following two steps.  Deleting or editing other keys could make it necessary to reinstall Windows 95.

2 This is assuming that you used the default name of the directory.  If not you must substitute the name of the directory in which Markvision was placed.
