Q. Does the Optra come Mac ready.

A. The Optra C has a built in Localtalk connector.  The Optra LXI and
   Optra LXI Plus come with a pre-installed Ethernet adapter.  All other
   Optra printers require an optional adapter.  All Optra Printers have two
   IOP connector, in which you can place internal Lexmark Network adapters
   or hard disk options. Localtalk, Ethernet, and Token Ring Adapters are
   available.

Q. Can I have a 4039 10Plus/Optra attached to a Mac and a PC at
   same time.

A. Yes. the 4039 10 Plus has a Parallel port and you add the
   Network Card. Both ports are then active. The Optra has a
   parallel port, serial port, and you add up to two network cards
   All ports are active. The Optra C also has a built in Localtalk port.


Q. I need the latest Mac driver for my Lexmark printer.

A. We have Mac drivers and other related Mac files on CompuServe,
   the internet, and our own BBS.

   The file name for the  Mac drivers file is LW8INS.SEA.

Q. How do I hook the 4079Plus up to a Mac Ethernet Network.

A. We have an external ethernet adapter called the Marknet XLE.


Q. How do I hook one of  the Lexmark WinWriters to a Mac.

A. These printers are designed for Windows use only and have no
   Mac Support options.


Q.  I am having trouble getting my Lexmark printer to work with
    PageMaker 6.0.

A. You need to get the latest PPD files from Lexmark. PageMaker
   6.0 changed the way they read PPDs.  The original PPD's were
   designed for Pagemaker 5.0. As a result of this changes have
   been made to the PPD files.   The file name for the  to download
   is LW8INS.SEA this file contains the latest PPD files for
   Lexmark printers and the LaserWriter8.2.2 driver. You can get
   this file from CompuServe, the internet, or our BBS.
