--- THE MOST CURRENT VERSIONS OF THESE UTILITIES ARE NOW INCLUDED WITH HL2.5E and HIGHER. THESE ARE FOR HL2.0, 2.5 AND 2.5A. Interleaved Indexed Image format documentation (C)1999 Cameron Kaiser The i3 format is a record-oriented image format designed for partial image display. Each i3 line represents one 320x8 pixel area, plus colour (making each record 360 bytes in length), essentially interleaving the colour memory information with the hi-res information in each record. HyperLink uses i3 images as its native image format. The i3encoder.prg utility takes any Doodle!-format image and allows you to select the area to be turned into an i3 image. Enter the filename, adding the dd prefix if necessary. Move the flashing bar down to the screen row (the bar moves in 8-pixel increments) that marks the end of the image. Press RETURN and enter the filename. HyperLink requires an iii. prefix on such images. The i3display.prg utility displays any i3-format file. Enter the filename, adding the iii. prefix if necessary. The image will be displayed. These utilities are freeware and may be distributed freely in their unmodified entirety.
