workstation does not resume from Standby or Hibernate mode when two or more 
digital flat panel displays are connected.

- Resolves an issue where a black screen or flashing screen occurs when 
attached to a digital flat panel display that supports resolutions greater than 
1280x1024 pixels.

HOW TO USE: 
To create a bootable CD:
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file. By default, the SoftPaq unpacks files to the 
following folder:
C:\SWSETUP\SP28732.

3. Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc into the CD-RW drive.

4. Start the CD writing software, such as Roxio or MyCD, and select the option 
to create a CD from an ISO image. If needed, refer to the CD writing software 
documentation for help with using ISO images.

5. Select the file C:\SWSETUP\SP28732\MAKECD\NVS400PCI_4.17.00.50.A1.ISO as the 
ISO image to use.

6. Write and finalize the CD.

7. After the CD has been created, the SoftPaq .EXE file downloaded in Step 1 
can be deleted, if desired.

8. To install the video BIOS update, insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive of the 
workstation to be updated and restart the workstation. The workstation boots 
from the CD. If the workstation does not start from the CD, refer to the 
workstation documentation for help on booting from a CD.

9. Follow the on-screen instructions.

10. Once the video BIOS update is complete, remove the CD and cycle power to 
the workstation.


To create a bootable floppy diskette:
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file. By default, the SoftPaq unpacks files to the 
following folder:
C:\SWSETUP\SP28732.

3. Insert a blank 1.44-MB diskette in Drive A:. This diskette will be erased by 
the SoftPaq. Before proceeding, make certain the diskette is not write 
protected, does not contain viruses, and does not contain data or critical 
files.

4. Execute the file C:\SWSETUP\SP28732\MAKEDISK\MAKEDISK.BAT and follow the 
on-screen instructions.

5. After the diskette has been created, the .EXE file downloaded in Step 1 can 
be deleted, if desired.

6. To install the video BIOS update, insert the diskette into the A: drive of 
the workstation to be updated and restart the workstation. The workstation 
boots from the diskette.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

8. Once the video BIOS update is complete, remove the diskette and cycle power 
to the workstation.
