DESCRIPTION:
This package contains a sample application for the HP USB Receipt Printer 
attached to the supported point of sale (POS) desktop models running the 
supported operating systems. 

This application can be used to confirm that the Microsoft Windows USB, the OLE 
for Retail POS (OPOS) driver, the printer, and the cash drawer (if attached), 
are all functioning correctly.

ENHANCEMENTS: 
- HP OPOS Sample Application compiled to use version 1.8.001 of the OLE for 
Retail POS (OPOS) Common Control Object (CCO).

PREREQUISITES: 
- Common Control Object (CCO) drivers must be installed.
- HP USB Receipt Printer OPOS drivers must be installed.
- HP Cash drawer must be attached to the HP USB Receipt Printer (only required 
if the cash drawer is to be tested with this sample application).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 

NOTE: For details about running the sample application, see the README file in 
the sub-directory where the SoftPaq files were extracted (default location is 
C:\SWSETUP\SP32814).
