TITLE: HP Compaq Business Desktop System BIOS (786E2 BIOS)

DESCRIPTION:
This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the 
system BIOS on the supported desktop models with a 786E2 BIOS. 

IMPORTANT: This System ROM upgrade is considered to be a critical fix. HP 
strongly recommends immediate application of required critical fixes.

This System ROM upgrade integrates a new version of Intel support code for 
Intel Core 2 Duo E4000 and E6000 series processors. This Intel support code was 
provided to HP as a critical software update. This System ROM update has no 
known performance impact.

Several methods for changing the BIOS version may be chosen. Included in this 
package are the following methods:

- Use the DOS utility with a preboot execution environment (PXE) management 
application or to locally update or restore the system BIOS.
- Use HPQFlash to upgrade the BIOS directly in a Microsoft Windows or Microsoft 
Vista environment.
- Create a CD image to upgrade/restore system BIOS.
