Compaq offers its Three-Year Limited Warranty for the TFT450 Monitor, which covers parts and labor and includes on-site repair for the first year. For the second and third years, coverage is parts only (for all parts excluding the backlight bulb). Warranty upgrades and extensions are available.

Backlight

The backlight bulb is covered by a One-Year Limited Backlight Warranty. A separate backlight replacement program is available to extend carry-in backlight replacement coverage to three full years. Please note that this extension is parts only, and is honored on a carry-in basis only.

NOTE: It is possible that a TFT panel will retain an image on the display if the monitor is left on with the same image for a prolonged period. Image retention ("burn in") is not a warranted failure. Compaq recommends that customers use screen savers or turn their monitors off when not in use.
