Compaq Announces New V500 Monitor PRODUCT: Compaq V500 Monitor DATE: February 1999 SUBJECT: New V500 Monitor INTRODUCTION Compaq Computer Corporation is pleased to announce the new Compaq V500 Monitor Model PE1110, an enhancement to the Compaq V55 Monitor product line. This monitor is a 15-inch (13.8-inch viewable image size), color monitor with microprocessor-based, intelligent scanning that automatically locks in on the most common display modes. It incorporates a digital chassis, a 70-kHz horizontal scan range, and numerous user controls. It is an affordable monitor for every Compaq desktop, server, and portable computer and expansion chassis. Additionally, it is supported by a Compaq One-Year Limited Warranty. The warranty covers parts and labor, including on-site repair. On-site service is provided on a best-effort basis, with a 48-hour average turnaround time. Warranty upgrades and extensions are available. In the United States, the V500 Monitor is also eligible for the 48-Hour Monitor Swap Program, which specifies that a replacement monitor will arrive at the customer's site within 48 hours of the problem being registered with Compaq Technical Support. This level of coverage is provided at no additional cost to the end-user. It is considered part of the product's standard Warranty and any Warranty Extensions/Upgrades purchased for the unit.
