Displaying Clerk and Server Attribute Information

To show the values of the attributes associated with clerk and server entries in the cell namespace, use the dcecp commands cds and cdsclient. The basic syntax for each command is:

cds show cds-server-name
cds show cds-client-name

To use these commands, you must have read permission to the CDS name that you want to display.

You are not permitted to use wildcard characters in the simple names of clerks and servers on the show operation line.

In the following example, the show operation displays the current values of all attributes that are associated with the local clerk:

cdscp> cdsclient show /.:/hosts/ hostname/cds-clerk

The returned display is:

{Creation_Time 1996-08-01-15:39:06.052+00:00I-----}

{protocol_Erros 0}

{Authentication_Failures 0}

{Read_Operations 1088}
