SMODE.EXE :

Note:       If you use SMODE.EXE to change video mode to " Standard VGA Modes "
        and text modes of " S3 Video Modes ", the screen will show the message,
        but if you change to the others, the screen will NOT show the message !!

            So, if you want to change mode and refresh rate at a time, we
        recommend you to set refresh rate first by using REFRESH.EXE, then use
        SMODE.EXE to change to the mode you want.


FCON.EXE:

Note:       Before you use feature connector, you MUST run this utility to
        enable the feature connector!
