THE NORTHERN NEW JERSEY OS/2 USERS GROUP Will have its first meeting, Tuesday March 9th, 7pm in the evening at: International Business Machines Corporation 300 Executive Drive West Orange, NJ (201)325-5600 The Northern New Jersey OS/2 Users Group will be a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the users of IBM Operating System/2 residing in New Jersey and the surrounding metropolitan area. It will serve as a forum for users to address their indi vidual needs and concerns regarding system maintenance, application usage and software development under OS/2. In addition, the users group will shedule presentations by OS/2 software developers so that members will be able to evaluate the latest OS/2 applications as they become avaliable. The Northern New Jersey OS/2 Users Group will be affiliated with the Westchester OS/2 Group in New York, one of the most prominent OS/2 users group in the United States. In the past, the Westchester OS/2 Users group has been instrumental in its support of OS/2 users in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the US. Most recently it has worked wih the PBS televison show Computer Chronicles in expediting a special OS/2 episode to air the week of March 9th, 1993, and has a designed a series of weekend seminars on OS/2 software development to begin in mid-March at IBM in Harrison, NY. The Westchester OS/2 Users group's members include corporate MIS managers, software developers, acedemicians, students and personal computer enthusiasts.
