PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Are you or your customers looking for an easier way to create client/
server applications?  Distributed Application/2 (DA/2) is a set of APIs
that simplify client/server communications in OS/2*.  These APIs hide
the complexity of the supported communications protocols (APPC, NetBIOS
and OS/2 named pipes), and enable you to select a protocol at run time
without requiring any code change!  The DA/2 APIs have been enabled for
C and REXX, or other 32 bit languages supporting C calling conventions.
DA/2 can communicate with CICS and IMS using APPC.  DA/2 is easy to
install and supports the CID architecture.  DA/2 DLLs can be
redistributed  with your application without royalty payments.

NEW FUNCTIONS FOR THIS RELEASE:

 o  Access to CICS/MVS and CICS/ESA applications is provided by
    a CICS Access Tool and native APPC application support in DA/2.
    The CICS Access Tool is shipped with DA/2.
 o  Access to IMS 4.1 is provided by the IMS V4.1 native LU 6.2
    capability and the native APPC application support in DA/2.
    (Previous versions of IMS are still supported as in DA/2 V1.1)
