             an IBM As Is Software Product Offering!
 
 Super Compare for OS/2 (SuperC) is a fast and versatile program that
 compares two files, two file groups (file names that contain '*' as
 wild card characters), a user-designated list of file pairs, or a pair
 of directories.  It can compare files at the file, line, word, or byte
 level and create a variety of output listings that makes it easy to see
 file differences.  The output may even be generated in a side-by-side
 listing format.  Direct viewing of the comparison results by a
 user-designated editor program is possible without exiting SuperC.
 
 SuperC features speed, simplicity of use, and accuracy of comparison
 via a unique algorithm that is able to resynchronize the comparison
 despite a large number of differences.  Files of an unlimited number of
 lines and line lengths are routinely handled.  The input files may be
 filtered before being compared.  This allows the user to personalize
 the operation so the compare results can emphasize the immediate user
 requirements.  SuperC also provides an extensive Search-For text
 capability, in which text strings can be designated as words, prefixes,
 or suffixes.
 
 SuperC requires only the names of two input files in order to perform a
 comparison.  SuperC's Search-For function requires a minimum of one
 input file.  Process options and process statements may be specified in
 order to filter input prior to comparison.  Process options are single
 command keywords passed as input parameters.  Process statements
 contain a command keyword with one or more operands, and must be input
 through a file.  SuperC can be invoked from the command line or from
 the SuperC menu.  Help screens are incorporated into the menu system
 detailing the entire SuperC process.
 
 SuperC Compare Types:
 
 o   FILE - Compares source files for differences.
 o   LINE - Compares source files for line differences.
 o   WORD - Compares source files for word differences.
 o   BYTE - Compares source files for byte differences.
 o   SFOR - Searches a file or group of files for a character string.
 
 SYSTEMS ENVIRONMENT
 
 o   Any IBM or compatible hardware running OS/2 2.0 or higher with at
     least 380k of free disk space.

 o   OS/2 2.0 or higher
