UNITELITE Do you want to get control over the documents in your work group | at a reasonable cost and with ease-of-use that you never thought possible? For the combination of advanced features, utility and user-friendliness that your small business needs, UniteLite is your desktop imaging solution. THE SMALL WORK GROUP INFORMATION CHALLENGE Have you ever had trouble finding that critical piece of information you need...when you need it? There are few things more frustrating than spending valuable time, sometimes hours, trying to locate a vital, but misplaced, document. Perhaps you've considered a PC-based document imaging system, but you've put it off because of the big price tag, the complexity or a feature list that isn't appropriate with your small work group's needs. UniteLite was created just for you. UNPRETENTIOUS PERSONAL POWER By combining state-of-the-art features, an intuitive interface and an inexpensive price tag, UniteLite has expanded the world of imaging to include both the small business and the novice PC user. It is an advanced, yet easy-to-use office tool that gives you the ability to scan, view, organize, and print memos, reports and other key documents that are crucial to the success of your business. You get absolute control over the way your documents are organized, and UniteLite's powerful search and retrieval capabilities provide easy access to the documents you need when you need them. Even a novice can begin using UniteLite almost immediately because its three basic icons represent things you already know how to use: a file cabinet, a folder and a document. UniteLite is designed to take advantage of all the advanced features of the OS/2 Workplace Shell, such as: -context-sensitive searching; -file associations, and; -drag-and-drop functions. What this means to you is that never before has there been such an easy-to-use imaging system. UniteLite is also compatible with OS/2 Warp, Version 3. HOW DOES IT WORK? When UniteLite is first installed, a file cabinet icon appears in the UniteLite folder on your desktop. Opening up (double-clicking on) the file cabinet reveals two more icons: a folder template and a document template. To create a new folder, simply drag the folder template icon to an open space in the file cabinet window, and drop. The original template icon stays in place, but where you've dragged-and-dropped a new folder appears. Name the folder and you're done! File cabinets work the same way. You can create as many file cabinets and folders as you like, and you can store them anywhere on your PC! You may also create folders within folders, to any depth you wish. DOCUMENT INPUT Creating documents is just like creating folders, a simple drag-and-drop. Once you create your document, a Unite Image Viewer window appears when you double click. This is UniteLite's powerful document and image control center. You can name your document, as well as enter data that will be important to retrieval later. This is also where you import, scan, view and manipulate images in a variety of ways. You can import and export a variety of popular file formats including FaxWorks, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, TGA, BMP and PPM. You can add sticky notes to documents. You can also specify that the icon which represents your document appear as a thumbnail image of the document. OS/2 system clipboard cut and paste is supported which makes transferring data between your OS/2 and Windows applications a snap. UniteLite can be used with your Fujitsu or HP ScanJet scanner. You can scan a portion of a page, a full page or many pages (or any combination) into one document. You can also combine full-color images with black-and-white text pages. As the pages are scanned, the scanned image appears on your screen. This gives you an opportunity to adjust resolution, contrast and many other settings to make sure you get the kind of image you want. FINDERS, KEEPERS Once the document is saved it is instantly accessible in a number of different ways. You can search all the file cabinets on your PC, or you can look in a particular file cabinet or folder. A GREAT VIEW A great filing system deserves great viewing and output. UniteLite delivers. Its image viewer gives you the capability to pan, zoom, scroll, scale, invert and rotate your image. And, when you're finished, you can print your file or export it to any of a number of formats including one compatible with leading OS/2 fax software.
