1) Open the OS/2 System folder 2) Open the System Setup folder 3) Run the Create Utility Diskettes and create all 3 diskettes (2-boot 1-utility) 4) Edit the CONFIG.SYS on the boot diskette #2: a) Change the line MEMMAN=NOSWAP,PROTECT to MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT b) Add the line SWAPPATH=X:\ 1024 1024 on the line under the memman line where X: is a formated hard disk drive. c) Add the line DEVICE=X.SYS to the end of the CONFIG.SYS file X: is FTDVR.SYS if you are using a floppy controlled tape drive. X: is PTDVR.SYS if you are using a paralled controlled tape drive. X: is TC15DVR.SYS if you are using a CMS TC-15 hi-speed tape adapter. X: is TTDVR.SYS if you are using BackMaster v1.1a and have a CMS Trakker tape drive. 5) Copy the appropriate driver, as detailed in 4c, to the second boot floppy. 6) Copy the following files to the Utility Disk (#3) BMREST.EXE BMREST.CFG QICCOMPR.DLL KBDCALLS.DLL 7) Shutdown your system and test the Recover Diskettes and BMREST.
