OSCWAENM - RUNNING WINDOWS APPLICATIONS IN ENHANCED MODE 01/19/96 ======================================================================= Running Windows Applications in Enhanced Mode--All OS/2 Releases ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION WIN-OS/2 can run in two operating modes: * Standard: Used to run programs written for Microsoft Windows Versions 3.0 and 3.1. * Enhanced Compatibility: Used to run programs requiring enhanced Microsoft Windows Versions 3.0 and 3.1. RESOLUTION You can specify a mode for a WIN-OS/2 session or Windows program by changing the WIN-OS/2 WIN_RUN_MODE setting. For Windows programs requiring Microsoft Windows Version 3.1 enhanced mode, set WIN_RUN_MODE to 3.1 Enhanced Compatibility: 1. Move the mouse pointer to a blank area of the Desktop and press mouse button 2 to display the Desktop pop-up menu. 2. Select Settings. 3. Select Session. 4. Select the WIN-OS/2 settings push button. 5. Select the WIN_RUN_MODE setting. 6. Select the 3.1 Enhanced Compatibility radio button. 7. Select Save.
