DESCRIPTION

This document describes the formatting parameters for OS/2 Warp.

RESOLUTION

OS/2 Warp 3.0 has two formatting parameters:

* /Q (Quick)
* /L (Long)

/Q is the default parameter for formatting hard disks. Formatting is 
done very quickly, but no disk integrity checks are made. If you want 
any defective spots on the hard disk to be indicated, use the /L 
parameter.

/L is the default parameter for formatting diskettes. If you want the 
diskette formatted quickly, use /Q.
