OSDIISCD - INSTALLING OS/2 2.1 FROM THE IBM ISA CD-ROM 01/18/96 ======================================================================= Installing OS/2 2.1 from the IBM ISA CD-ROM ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION You need the following for installation: * The correct switch settings on the interface card. See the CD-ROM manual. * The diskette with the driver, ISACDOS2.ADD. * The OS/2 diskettes or the CD-ROM installation package. RESOLUTION Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change. Installation ------------ 1. Do a DISKCOPY of OS/2 Diskette 1. 2. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file and add the device-driver statement: BASEDEV=ISACDOS2.ADD /M:xxx (xxx is the hexadecimal address set on the switches.) 3. Start the installation. Support after Installation -------------------------- 1. Open OS/2 System. 2. Open Command Prompts. 3. Select OS/2 Window. 4. Type E CONFIG.SYS. 5. Add the statement, BASEDEV=ISACDOS2.ADD /M:xxx (xxx is the hexadecimal address set on the switches). 6. Save and exit the file. 7. Type EXIT. 8. Close Command Prompts. 9. Select System Setup. 10.
