OSDISYSX - INTERNAL ERROR WHEN RUNNING SYSINSTX IN OS/2 2.1 OR OS/2 2.11 02/07/96 ======================================================================= Internal Error when Running SYSINSTX in OS/2 2.1 or OS/2 2.11 ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION After starting the system from diskettes, the following message is received when running SYSINSTX on an OS/2 HPFS partition of the hard disk from drive A: An internal error occurred. RESOLUTION Add the UHPFS.DLL file to the diskette that has SYSINSTX: 1. Do a DISKCOPY of the OS/2 Installation Diskette. 2. Delete the BUNDLE file from the new Installation Diskette. 3. Copy UHPFS.DLL from Diskette 2 to the new Installation Diskette. If you have OS/2 on CD-ROM, the file is in the \DISK_2 directory. 4. Start the system from the new Installation Diskette. 5. When prompted, remove the Installation Diskette and insert Diskette 1; then press Esc to get to a command prompt. 6. Type SYSINSTX X: and press Enter. The message "System file transferred" appears, indicating that the file, OS2BOOT, was copied to the drive. 7.
