DESCRIPTION

If you remove a ThinkPad 755CX or 760C machine from the docking station 
and then redock it, it can no longer recognize the CD-ROM in the 
docking station.

RESOLUTION

Use the following workaround:  

While the system is docked, press Alt-F4 to Suspend the system. Then, 
press Alt-F4 to Resume it. The machine should now recognize the CD-ROM 
drive.
