OSIN1475 - SYS1475 ERROR MESSAGE WHEN STARTING OS/2 12/21/95 ======================================================================= SYS1475 Error Message when Starting OS/2 ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION * SYS1475 & SYS2027, Cannot boot to OS2. * SYS1475 & SYS2027, OS2BOOT cannot be found. * SYS1475 & SYS2027, Operating System missing. Note: The system also displays this error if a diskette is in drive A. If there IS a diskette in drive A, remove it and restart the system. RESOLUTION Do the following steps to restore your system files back to the hard disk. 1. Insert the Installation Diskette in drive A. 2. Turn on the system, or press Ctrl+Alt+Del if it is already on. 3. When prompted, remove the Installation Diskette and insert Diskette 1; then press Enter. 4. When the Welcome screen appears: * For OS/2 Warp, press F3 to display the command prompt. * For OS/2 2.X, press Esc to display the command prompt. 5. Reinsert the Installation Diskette. 6. Type SYSINSTX x: and press Enter (x is the drive where OS/2 is installed). 7.
