          SYS1477 Error Message during OS/2 Warp Installation

DESCRIPTION

While installing OS/2 Warp 3.0, the following error message is received:

   SYS1477: Warning!  The partition containing the
   SWAPPER.DAT file is full.

RESOLUTION

Make sure there is sufficient hard disk space to install OS/2.

Depending on how much resource is used, the SWAPPER.DAT file grows. 
There is enough space on the specified drive to install OS/2 Warp, but 
SWAPPER.DAT is running out of space to transfer files.

Reduce the virtual-memory requirement by closing applications, or 
increase the amount of available space on the partition by deleting 
unwanted files. If the SWAPPER.DAT file is full (message recurs), you 
might need to change the default location of the file.

Do not ignore this message; you might lose data!

additional information.
