Unable to Recognize File System After Choosing Easy or Advanced 
Installation

DESCRIPTION

During installation of OS/2 Warp 4, after choosing either Easy or 
Advanced installation, a message states that OS/2 does not recognize 
the file system on the partition.

RESOLUTION

1. Restart the system with the OS/2 Warp 4 Installation Diskette,
   inserting Diskettes 1 and 2 when prompted. 

2. At the Easy/Advanced Installation screen, press F3 to escape to a 
   command prompt.
 
3. Type FDISK, then press Enter. 

4. Verify that the partitions are set correctly, not over 2 G in size, 
   and that the installable partition is within the 1024 cylinder limit.
