OSIN640X - CMD640X.ADD LOCKS UP ON INSTALLATION OR STARTUP OF OS/2 WARP ON PC 750S 06/14/96 ======================================================================= CMD640X.ADD Locks up on Installation or Startup of OS/2 Warp on PC 750s ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedure ------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When installing OS/2 Warp (all releases) with the statement BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD loading in the CONFIG.SYS file, the system will lock up either on IBM1S506.ADD or CMD640X.ADD. This is a compatibility problem with the CMD640X.ADD device driver. RESOLUTION When installing OS/2 Warp, make sure that the CMD640X.ADD driver is not loading in the CONFIG.SYS.
