          CMD640X.ADD Locks up on Installation or Startup of
                         OS/2 Warp on PC 750s

DESCRIPTION

When installing OS/2 Warp (all releases) with the statement 
BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD loading in the CONFIG.SYS file, the system will 
lock up either on IBM1S506.ADD or CMD640X.ADD. This is a compatibility 
problem with the CMD640X.ADD device driver.

RESOLUTION

When installing OS/2 Warp, make sure that the CMD640X.ADD driver is not 
loading in the CONFIG.SYS. Use IBM1S506.ADD or IBMINT13.I13 for any IDE 
controllers in the system
