        Problems with Installation of OS/2 2.1 or OS/2 2.11 on
                     PS/2 9576 and 9577 Models

DESCRIPTION

* Installation on IBM PS/2 9576i, 9576s, 9577i, and 9577s, Models XUX,
  XNX, or XTX might fail if the ABIOS.SYS file, and all other files
  with a .BIO extension, were not updated on the OS/2 Installation
  Diskette.

* When installation is by a Configuration, Installation and
  Distribution (CID) process, the system IML partition is overwritten
  or destroyed if the FDISK /DELETE:ALL command is used.

RESOLUTION

* See Appendix B of the Setup manual that came with the system for
  instructions about updating the OS/2 Installation Diskette for
  OS/2 2.1.

* Don't use the FDISK /DELETE:ALL command for a CID installation.
