                        Core Logic Chip Set

DESCRIPTION

Installation of OS/2 Warp fails at the logo screen of Diskette 1. 
Pressing Alt+F2 does not show any drivers being loaded. This problem 
occurs on a Gateway 2000 P560 system. The BIOS on the Pentium system
boards (AMI Version 1.00.03.AF1) is in conflict with Intel's Mercury 
Core Logic chip set.

RESOLUTION

Gateway Computers is aware of this problem and is providing a free 
flash ROM BIOS upgrade on their BBS (605-232-2224). The BIOS version 
that will solve the problem is 1.00.06.AF1.  This new version also has 
LBA translation capability.
