Currently, non-IBM clones with Advanced Power Management (APM) features are not compatible with APM drivers under OS/2. If this message is received after a full installation, check the CMOS and disable any APM options that are set. (System boards are not tested for APM.) If the CMOS does not have APM support, edit the CONFIG.SYS file and remark-out (REM) the following statements (x is the drive where OS/2 is installed): * OS/2 Warp: DEVICE=x:\OS2\BOOT\APM.SYS DEVICE=x:\OS2\MDOS\VAPM.SYS * OS/2 2.11: DEVICE=x:\OS2\APM.SYS DEVICE=x:\OS2\MDOS\VAPM.SYS Save and exit the CONFIG.SYS file, and then restart the system to activate the changes. ______________________________________________________________________ IBM disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of fitness and merchantability with respect to the information in this document.
