        "Error Opening or Creating Archive File" with FixPaks
                         All OS/2 Releases

DESCRIPTION

The message "Error opening or creating archive file" is received at 
Diskette 2 if, when applying the FixPak:

* You select the name of a directory that already exists.

* You accidentally delete the ARCHIVE directory and need to apply
  another FixPak.

RESOLUTION

1. Starting with drive C, delete CSF_SEL.xxx, if it exists, from the
   root drive of all partitions (xxx is 000 to 999).

2. Rename LOGF0000.OS2 in the OS2\INSTALL directory.

3. Reapply the FixPak.
