Restart the system with the OS/2 Warp 4 Installation Diskette, inserting Diskettes 1 and 2 when prompted. 2. At the Easy/Advanced Installation screen, escape to a command prompt by pressing F3. 3. If the OS/2 partition is formatted HPFS (High Performance Filing System), do the following, otherwise continue with Step 4: a. With the OS/2 Warp 4 CD-ROM in the drive, change to the CD-ROM drive. b. Change to the OS2IMAGE\DISK_3 subdirectory. c. Type CHKDSK C: /F; then press Enter (where C: is the OS/2 partition). 4. Change to the OS/2 partition. 5. Change to the \OS2 directory. 6. Type UNPACK X:\OS2IMAGE\DISK_39\ATTRIB; then press Enter (where X: is the CD-ROM drive). 7. Type ATTRIB -H -S -R \OS2KRNL; then press Enter. 8. Type CD \; then press Enter. 9. Type REN OS2KRNL OS2KRNL.OLD; then press Enter. 10. Insert the OS/2 Warp 4 Installation Diskette into the A: drive. 11. Type COPY A:\OS2KRNLI OS2KRNL; then press Enter. 12. Type CD OS2; then press Enter. 13. Type ATTRIB +H +S +R \OS2KRNL*; then press Enter. 14.
