                 Blank Desktop after Installing OS/2 Warp 4

DESCRIPTION

After installing OS/2 Warp 4 over OS/2 Warp Connect, a blue screen with 
a clock appears.  Pressing Ctrl-Esc brings up a blank Desktop.

RESOLUTION

1. Restart the system, pressing Alt-F1 when the small white rectangle 
   appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

2. At the Recovery Choices screen, press F2. 

3. At the command prompt, type CD OS2\INSTALL, then press Enter.

4. Type MAKEINI INSTALL.INI INSTALL.RC, then press Enter.

5. Restart the system again; press Alt-F1 when the white rectangle 
   appears.

6. At the Recovery Choices screen press F6 to disable hardware 
   detection.
