DESCRIPTION

During installation of OS/2 Warp 4 on a Compaq Proliant 1500 server, 
with CPQARRAY.ADD and CPQ53CX.ADD drivers added to diskette 2, an error 
message states that "OS/2 is unable to operate hard disk or diskette 
drive."

RESOLUTION

Restart the system; press Alt-F1 when the small white rectangle appears 
in the upper left corner of the screen. At the Recovery Choices screen, 
press F6 to disable hardware detection.
