OSINEPFI - EPFIE609 ERROR DURING INSTALLATION OF IBM WORKS 12/22/95 ======================================================================= EPFIE609 Error during Installation of IBM Works ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION During installation of the IBM Works BonusPak, the EPFIE609 error is received. The Installation program of IBM Works could not unpack the INSTALL.IN_ file. RESOLUTION Diskette Installation --------------------- 1. Exit the IBM Works Installation program. 2. At a command prompt, type MD C:\WORKTEMP and press Enter to create a temporary directory. 3. Insert IBM Works Diskette 1 into drive A; then type UNPACK A:\INSTALL.IN_ C:\WORKTEMP and press Enter. 4. Type CD C:\WORKTEMP and press Enter to go to the temporary directory. 5. Look for the file, xxxIDLDS.EXE (xxx are any 3 characters). 6. Type xxxIDLDS /4=A:\ and press Enter. 7. Complete the installation. 8. Delete the files in the temporary directory; then remove the temporary directory. CD Installation --------------- 1. Exit the IBM Works Installation program. 2. At a command prompt, type MD C:\WORKTEMP and press Enter to create a temporary directory. 3. Insert the BonusPak CD into CD-ROM drive; then type UNPACK x:\US\IBMWORKS\INSTALL.IN_ C:\WORKTEMP and press Enter (x is the CD-ROM drive). 4. Type CD C:\WORKTEMP and press Enter to go to the temporary directory. 5. Look for the file, xxxIDLDS.EXE (xxx are any 3 characters). 6. Type xxxIDLDS /4=x\US\IBMWORKS and press Enter. 7. Complete the installation. 8.
