OSINFDRV - PROBLEMS ACCESSING DEVICES WITH FUTURE DOMAIN DRIVER DURING OS/2 WARP INSTALLATION 02/06/96 ======================================================================= Problems Accessing Devices with Future Domain Driver during OS/2 Warp Installation ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When installing from a CD-ROM drive attached to a SCSI adapter that is serviced by a Future Domain driver, the installation halts with a request for the OS/2 Warp CD. The CD is not recognized and installation stops. The following drivers are affected: FD16-700.ADD FD7000EX.ADD FD8XX.ADD When installing from diskettes, OS/2 usually cannot access any disks or media on the adapter after the first restart. RESOLUTION If you have this level of the Future Domain Drivers: Date Size ---- ---- FD16-700.ADD 01/10/95 31258 FD7000EX.ADD 12/12/94 30030 FD8XX.ADD 12/12/94 20848 Replace them with the drivers that came with the OS/2 Warp GA level: Date Size ---- ---- FD16-700.ADD 10/07/94 30556 FD7000EX.ADD 10/05/94 20642 FD8XX.ADD 10/05/94 The drivers that work correctly are the OS/2 Warp GA Future Domain drivers, which are on the OS/2 Warp diskettes. They also are on the IBM PCC BBS (919-517-0001) and the Internet (http://www.pc.ibm.com). The file to download is FDWPGA.ZIP.
