OSINFLPY - OS/2 WARP INSTALLATION LOCKS UP AT DISKETTE 1 02/05/96 ======================================================================= OS/2 Warp Installation Locks Up at Diskette 1 ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION Installation of OS/2 Warp locked up at Diskette 1 on a Pentium 90 clone that has: * Future Domain PCI SCSI with the following on a SCSI chain: - 4 Seagate Barracuda hard drives (2 GB each) - DAT Tape Drive - Optical Disc - Plextor CD-ROM 4Plex - 64 MB MEM * 256 KB external processor cache on a Diamond Flower Industries (DFI) motherboard * Video PCI Diamond Viper SE 4 MB memory RESOLUTION Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file on Diskette 1 and remark-out (REM) IBM1S506.ADD and IBM2FLPY.ADD. The installation can be completed successfully. You also should remark-out all unnecessary BASEDEV statements that do not reflect what is in the system.
