OSININTR - INTERNAL CD-ROM NOT RECOGNIZED DURING OS/2 WARP INSTALLATION 01/29/96 ======================================================================= Internal CD-ROM Not Recognized during OS/2 Warp Installation ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION During installation of OS/2 Warp, the CD-ROM driver, OS2CDROM.DMD, cannot be found. RESOLUTION This is a hardware problem. On the back of the CD-ROM drive, set the jumper that controls the bus device number to 0. Most sound-card manufacturers leave the setting at the factory default of 1. If it is not set to 0, Diskette 1 does not load OS2CDROM.DMD, and the installation stops with a red screen indicating the CD-ROM cannot be found. ______________________________________________________________________ IBM disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of fitness and merchantability with respect to the information in this document.
