      Problem Installing OS/2 Warp on a Lexmark 486 SLC2 Laptop

DESCRIPTION

You cannot install OS/2 Warp on the Lexmark 486 SLC2/25 MHz laptop 
system if the code, "Reference Id # 33_T" appears on the screen during 
startup. This code appears approximately 11 lines after the BIOS 
information when the system is cold-started.

RESOLUTION

These systems have a problem with the cache controller for the hard 
disk. Lexmark needs to rework the system board.

The IDE controller's cache memory has a problem under OS/2 Warp while 
it is being accessed. OS/2 installation fails during heavy disk use 
while processing various installation diskettes--mainly Diskettes 5 
through 7--or after the first restart.
