DESCRIPTION

The system locks up during installation when trying to copy OS2CHAR.DLL 
from Diskette 1 for the second time just prior to the first restart. It 
happens during a clean installation in the C partition.

RESOLUTION

This is a hardware configuration problem. 

Change the Local Bus IDE mode option from High Performance to 
Compatible.
