OSINPMT2 - OS/2 PMTAPE VERSION 2 LOCKS UP IF OS/2 IS ON DRIVE D: OR ABOVE 06/13/96 ======================================================================= OS/2 PMTape Version 2 Locks Up if OS/2 is on Drive D: or Above ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedure ------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When OS/2 is installed on a drive other than C:, the system locks up or fails to see the tape drive when opening the application. RESOLUTION The OS/2 PMTape Version 2 installation program automatically updates whatever CONFIG.SYS file is on the C: drive. If you have OS/2 installed on a drive other than C:, the CONFIG.SYS file in that drive is not updated. After installing PMTape Version 2, add the following lines to the CONFIG.SYS file on the drive where you have installed PMTape: Device = X:\pmtape\ip2idrv.sys Run = X:\pmtape\itdmn.exe where X: is the drive where you installed PMTape. Shut down and restart your system.
