OSINSNT2 - "SYSINST2.EXE FAILED TO RETURN THE TARGET DRIVE-- PSZSEG = NULL" - OS/2 WARP CONNECT 02/22/96 ======================================================================= "SYSINST2.EXE Failed to Return the Target Drive--PSZSEG = NULL" OS/2 Warp Connect ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When installing OS/2 Warp Connect, the following error message is received when Diskette 1 is being used: SYSINST2.EXE failed to return the target drive -- PSZSEG=NULL The error message appears between the Welcome to OS/2 screen and the Easy/Advanced Installation screen. If FDISK or CHKDSK is run, a SYS0201 or SYS0202 message is received. CHKDSK and FDISK for previous OS/2 versions run OK. RESOLUTION To resolve the problem: 1. Insert the Installation Diskette in drive A. Turn on the computer, or press Ctrl+Alt+Del if it is already on. 2. When prompted, remove the Installation Diskette and insert Diskette 1. 3. When the Welcome screen appears, press F3 to go to a command prompt. 4. Type the following, pressing Enter after each (x is the disk drive where OS/2 Warp is installed): x:\ x:\OS2IMAGE\DISK_1 SYSINST2 If this procedure doesn't work: 1. Ensure you are using the correct OS/2 Warp CD. 2. If you have a network card, try removing it. 3.
